If you have a public environmental health concern that you would like to inform us of, it should be from the following options:

Complaint Types:

Septic System (we do not handle public sewer concerns)
Restaurant
Temporary Food Vendor (Food that is sold for Immediate consumption)
Public Pool/Spa
Tourist Accommodation (Hotel/Motel)
Recreational Vehicle Park
Public Drinking Water
Animal Bite/Rabies

Make sure your complaint reaches the right agency.

Complaints must pertain to issues in which North Central Public Health Department has regulatory authority. Other complaints not pertaining to the above-mentioned concerns should be directed to the appropriate agency.

For local issues including illegal dwellings, abandoned RVs, nuisance violations that pose health and safety hazards, land use activities that impact environmental/natural resources, or land use or nuisance activities that pose health/safety issues notify code enforcement at your local city or county.

For public sewer concerns, notify your local Department of Public Works.

For air pollution, visit the Department of Environmental Quality’s website.

Anonymous complaints: We will not investigate anonymous complaints unless they are of a condition or action that is an imminent threat to public health or safety, and as to which NCPHD has specific regulatory or enforcement responsibilities.

NCPHD Environmental Health services will review the report, follow up, and conduct an investigation as deemed appropriate.

Note: Repetitive complaints that are found to be inaccurate or unsubstantiated may not be addressed.
