The Wasco County Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) has launched its annual blanket/coat drive, with four convenient drop-off locations, and will continue collecting items through February.
Help those in need stay warm this winter by donating warm blankets, adult-sized coats, socks, boots, tarps, and sleeping bags to benefit St. Vincent de Paul and other local agencies. All items must be new, or gently used, washed and in good condition.
The four drop-off locations in The Dalles are:
• North Central Public Health District (NCPHD) 419 E. 7th St. Hours 8:30 a.m. to noon, and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
• La Michoacana, 1210 Kelly Ave. Hours are 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week.
• Grocery Outlet, 1300 W. 6th St. Hours are 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week.
• Farmstand, 315 Federal St. Hours are 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday-Saturday, and Sundays 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Wasco Co. MRC, a volunteer program of NCPHD, has held an annual blanket drive for the last eleven years. The ongoing generosity of the community is appreciated!
